Monday
No plays today and none over the weekend. I’m not intentionally tightening up, there just hasn’t been very much to see the past few days. There should be some weird line moves the next few days in course with the trade deadline on Thursday. One counterpoint to Sean, I actually like the Red Sox a lot over the next few months as it’s the teams that underperform (especially for baseball when they are at home) that make for the best plays.
Parlay Sunday
One of the things I dislike most about any profit module is the fact that sometimes you have to do dirty things that make you feel uneasy. Do things that go against your gut, and compromise against what you feel in your heart.
I’m a lifelong Red Sox fan…….but I am also a lifelong fan of money. And right now, things are looking as bad as they can for my team and IMO, its about to TANK (and I am rooting for it so the Sox can start their selloff now and get prospects for the future to rebuild). Did you know, even including the WS run, the Red Sox are 7 games UNDER .500 since September 2011? Really goes to show how special 2013 was, and by special, I mean, “mathematical anomaly” (which is why baseball still exists: to satisfy the algorithmic whims of corporate serfs).
Therefore, I again take TB -160. This also helps below:
The Rays have won 9 straight. Since June 25, they have the best record in the majors (20-5).

And, in theme with the name of the post, also have them in a 3 team parlay at +425 with the Dodgers (-122, Ryu up against Jake “Over the Hill” Peavy) and the Marlins (+105) in Houston.
Plays today
First of all, congrats to Lou for betting on a WNBA game. That’s some ballsy shit right there. In honor of this, I’m making a small play on the Ottawa Redblacks +7 at Hamilton in the CFL.
Here are my plays today:
TB +102 and in Parlay with Dodgers -195 (Kershaw) at +200.
DET/ANA Over 8.5 -105
UFC:
Daron “Detroit Superstar” Cruickshank +190
Robbie Lawler vs Matt Brown fight goes the distance +300
Keep an eye out for NFL totals soon, maybe even in podcast format.
If you bet on every Peyton Manning & Tom Brady reg. season start since 2003:

Friday
Two absolutely, not even close losers yesterday. Even my unposted WNBA tilt pick lost (Storm -4). No plays today, will try and get back on the wagon this weekend.
Thursday
Toronto was a winner yesterday 6-4 as our mediocre season continues. We’re like the Royals only less depressing. Two plays:
Indians (Kluber) @ Royals (Duffy) OVER 7 -110
Padres (Ross) @ Cubs (Jackson) +114
Wednesday
Our famed totals engine failed us badly yesterday. I don’t think I’ve ever been off by that much since I’ve been running totals the past few years so it may be time to re-evaluate. Phillies lost in 14 in a good bet/bad result as Papelbon blew a save on a Posey HR. One play tonight:
Boston (Buchholz) @ Toronto (Dickey) -103
Late Posting
Phillies +106 Pit/LA under 8.5
Monday
Yankees were a winner yesterday 3-2. 1-0 since the break :) Two plays tonight, both of which look horrifying:
Cleveland (House) @ Minnesota (Johnson) +104
Tigers (Verlander) @ Arizona (Nuno) +119
Sunday
Having a go with the Yankees today: Reds (Cueto) @ Yankees (Kuroda) -113
Saturday
No plays last night so we are a classy 0-0 since the ASB. There are of leaners in Minnesota and Miami later tonight. One note on a game that’s currently underway, CIN @ NYY. The line moved from -110 or so to -150 between the initial posting last night and first pitch at 1:05 today. Cincinnati’s lineup is definitely in the bottom third of all teams right now, especially with needing a DH for this series, but it’s still a very large and notable jump. There doesn;t seem to be anything untoward happening so far with the Yankees leading 3-1 in the 5th.
Updates later per usual if there are any plays.
