Yankees 1, Lou 0

Yankees were actually a 5-1 winner last night over Detroit and I am 0-2 this week using things like knowledge and logic to try and sort out plays instead of regular numbers. Back to the usual method for today’s day game:

Detroit (Porcello) @ Yankees (Greene) -110

Likely no more plays today but I will have one more look this afternoon. Red Sox are an okay option for road game sadists at Cardinals and Wainwright.

Wednesday

Two losers yesterday as the movable object that is the Reds offense smushed the resistable force that is Josh Tomlin’s pitching.  Only one option tonight and it’s the Yankees again, and while I got in trouble defying my system last night with the Reds, I’m going to risk doing so again tonight and pass on New York who is starting Chris Capuano.  I just can’t pull the trigger on this one and will live with the consequences.  It’s a leaner and not a play. Good luck to everyone

Tuesday

5 wins in a row after the Yankees held on for a 2-1 win last night. Taking New York again tonight with Kuroda versus Price at +107. One additional play is on Cleveland at home to the Reds, Cueto v. Tomlin there. This would normally be a leaner with the interleague matchup and low total, but the Reds lineup stinks. -112 on Cleveland.

Monday

We had another winner on Saturday despite my not knowing what day it was. No plays on Sunday except for a preseason NFL total I failed to post which was NYG/Buffalo OVER 33.5. The line closed at 36 but the teams only scored 30 :(

One play tonight: Tigers (Scherzer) @ Yankees (McCarthy) +105

Friday

Toronto (Dickey) @ Houston (Oberholtzer) +117

Friday

No play last night on the Marlins due to the low total.  I suspect but can’t prove that taking the Under for these low scoring pitching affairs is ultimately profitable in general, and the same with the Over 10s and above.  One play tonight:

Toronto (Happ) @ Houston (McHugh) -107

New York, New York

Been riding against the Red Sox all week trying to get more cash for Mohegan and the Montreal Poker Festival and have gone 4-1, going to ride the wagon tonight with the Yankees +107.  I’m also throwing this in a parlay with the Mets/Giants Under 7 (-115).

Let’s just hope this guy doesn’t hit for the Mets:

Thursday

Texas was also a winner last night getting us back on the plus side for the first time in a while. More days like yesterday please. Nothing doing in the day games but take note of any late lineup changes with all of the trade deadline happenings today. One game to note this evening is Cincinnati at Miami. The Reds offense and win loss record has entered a death spiral and they are relying almost solely on their pitching at the moment. Early betting numbers look good for the fish so far. Updates later per usual.

Wednesday

Bad beat loser last night and seeing as I am a sucker for more punishment we are running the game back again today: Oakland (Hammel) @ Houston (Keuchel) +126

UPDATE: Houston an easy winner 8-1.  Red Sox are tempting but I will go with a much uglier game for the night session: Yankees (Kuroda) @ Rangers (Lewis) +125

Tuesday

As mentioned yesterday, I am looking to get onto Boston for the last half of the season.  Today is a good but not great spot and I am going to lean juuuust on the side of passing.  But I wouldn’t begrudge anyone who wanted to take them at home tonight versus Toronto.  One team I’m generally looking to fade is Oakland and it starts tonight: Oakland (Samardjia) @ Houston (Feldman) +177
