I continued to prove why I should stick to hockey yesterday as Minnesota was a 2-1 winner as was Anaheim who won 4-0. An apology is owed as I spent the snow day drinking and didn’t get Anaheim up and posted before gametime or at all. The other two leaners were one goal losers. Basketball lost by a half point and Nishikori was a straight-up loser.
Two hockey options this evening and neither has started yet! First, Pittsburgh +105 @ Washington is a go for 1/2u and in the late game, the Kings are an option. L.A. will likely be a pass but I’ll update if that changes. 46-48-1 +8.04 for the season to date
NBA because I’m an idiot: Brooklyn +14

Digging out from a snow day here in the northeast. Milwaukee was a giant loser yesterday and Nishikori is still to play this evening. Wawrinka may be nursing an injury hence the play on Kei though it would be a coinflip anyway given recent form. Nishikori is up to -140 at some books.
Hockey is back though the betting options look a bit sparse. I took 1/2u on Minnesota last night at the open at -130 and that turned out to be a good idea as the Wild re up to -155 or -160 away to Edmonton tonight. Florida, Colorado and Anaheim make up the rest of the options for this evening, none of which are confirmed. Updates in a few hours per usual.
Lastly, our college hoops play tonight is Northern Illinois +9.5

Preparing to get snowed in…
UW-Milwaukee +13 -105
Also some tennis for tomorrow:
Nishikori -122 vs Wawrinka
NBA Sunday
Celtics/Golden State Over 213 (9-1 with Celtics Overs this season)
Also will put that in a teaser with Houston -8 at the Lakers.
Thanks Anthony Johnson, who shipped me a +220 dog yesterday in UFC, for allowing me to speculate wildly on NBA.

3-0 in college hoops yesterday. I’m going to take today off to celebrate. Also nothing looks bettable that’s the real reason.
UFC+ Boxing plays
UFC:
Anthony “Rumble” Johnson +225
Bader vs Davis goes the Distance -270
Boxing:
Brandon “Bam Bam” Rios by Decision +230
Over Rounds -10.5 (-155)
January 24
2-2 in basketball yesterday with the Lakers failing to cover by a point. Doing college today for no reason other than there is no hockey:
Michigan St. @ Nebraska +2.5
Dartmouth +10.5 @ Harvard
Buffalo @ Ohio +2.5

My basketball plays last night lost by 22 jillion points combined yesterday. I don’t have much faith in today’s plays being much better. I’m clearly turning into Pat with a healthy dose of cynicism attached.
Toronto -12.5 @ Philadelphia
Indiana +2.5 @ Miami
Lakers +13.5 @ San Antonio
Houston +2.5 @ Phoenix
Early Thoughts
First of all, who the hell ISN’T loving Ballgate? This below makes everything totally worth it; I just wonder whether or not this MOTIVATES the Pats (when they destroy teams after stuff happens like this) or if it DEFLATES them (see what I did there).

Former Pats’ QB Drew Bledsoe says that Tom is all about work ethic, and I certainly hope he’s right and I wouldn’t want Tom to pull a Ryan Braun on Drew.
As for any early leans, I don’t have any thoughts on the spread as of this point (the line moves have been interesting, however those who say they are the biggest moves in a while forget both the 2001 and 2007 Super Bowls, which saw big favorites lose 35-45% of their margins from start to finish), but I do like the over at 48.5 (-105), and the following props: Tom Brady, Russell Wilson for MVP (both at 13/4), and Bill Belichick to not be seen smiling for the entire game (-200).

Also an early UFC leans: Phil Davis vs Ryan Bader Goes Distance -260 and Anthony “Rumble” Johnson (+220) in Sweden vs Alexander Gustafsson.
NBA BONUS: Love my Celtics, but have to take the Blazers -7 at home at the Rose Garden tonight. I’ve been there, it’s a great arena and I feel this line should be at -8.5 and above. The Celtics have not won against a Western team on the road since 2013.

First day of four with no hockey, so I am forced to turn to a different sport again. Toronto miracle covered the 6.5 last night but lost the game. South Florida +10 -105 @ Temple is our play tonight. Also NBA again Brooklyn +13.5 -105 @ Clippers
