The Brewers come home for a Game 6 tonight down 3-2 with Wade Miley on the mound. The only real concern for me is that he was taken out after 5 pitches LAST GAME…it makes for the first time in 88 years a pitcher started back to back games.
I love taking this spot, a Game 6 team coming home down 3-2. They usually play their best game because the goal is to force the end all Game 7 (where the home team usually loses to, in my view, due to the adrenaline dump from Game 6). I have been doing this bet since the 2006 Mets, where Tom Glavine pitched a gem to force a Game 7 (which the Mets lost 1-0). It’s been consistent for me ever since, and I will stay the course tonight.
