Monday
All winners yesterday except for the NBA which I am horrible at. Phoenix, which is in Arizona, got a 2-1 win in Edmonton to put us up to 14-13 +4.4. We had two NFL winners including the Rams moneyline to get us to 10-9 +3.85 for the season. Some plays and leans tonight:
Tampa and the Rangers are about to get started in New York. We have a very marginal lean on the Rangers but am passing on the game. Tampa is an excellent hockey team.
NFL is interesting as the public is all over Pittsburgh just like in the Jets game, so the please do not bet the Steelers tonight. I am however taking a rare total and that’s PIT/TEN OVER 46.
In soccer, despite not having any public betting data to work with, I have a play for tomorrow afternoon in a friendly: England @ Scotland +0.5 -130
Lastly, NBA because I’m an idiot: Chicago +5.5 @ Clippers
Sunday
I am hungover. Totals were all losers yesterday. NFL:
Rams +10 -123
Rams to win outright +375
Chiefs -1
Eagles are an option at 4. Florida and Arizona are on the shortlist for hockey tonight
NBA because I’m an idiot. Nuggets +110
UPDATE: Arizona +110
UPDATE 2: I meant to write Phoenix to indicate I was taking the Coyotes and not the Cardinals. Sorry I am unable to keep my city & state monikers accurate.
NFL Week 11
Tampa Bay +7.5 (-115) at Washington
Way too many points.
Seattle at KC Under 43.5 (-115)
This was at 42 earlier this AM; two good defenses, two average offenses, and it’s REALLY cold in KC today.
Arizona Pick vs Detroit
I have a pants tent in high anticipation that I’ll get to bet against Jim Caldwell, Stafford, and this talented trainwreck of a team in the playoffs in January.
SF -4.5 at NYG
This is part 1 of many for a hedge towards our SF Win Totals Under 10.5
Eagles +6 (-120) at GB
2012 Sean: “I will not take Mark Sanchez on the road. I will not take Mark Sanchez on the road. I will not take Mark Sanchez on the road. ”
2014 Sean: “80% of the money is on Green Bay, I have to take Mark Sanchez on the road.”
Denver -10 at St Louis
Shaun Hill sucks.
TEASER (+175):
NE +3.5
DEN -10
NO -7.5
NHL BONUS:
FL at ANA Under 5 (EVEN)
Saturday
Both hockey games were winners last night but not without some assistance as the Devils were gifted the only goal of their game and the Islanders required a shootout. I ended up with action on New Jersey but not New York.
Two plays tonight. In football Utah +10 away to Stanford and in hockey a rare total Buffalo/Toronto Under 5.5 -130
Friday Leans
They are at home vs the Cavs tonight. The line started at 211 -115, and since has moved down to 210 at -105. I’ve now been enticed to jump on in as I am 3-0 with this theory so far. The Celtics are the best inside FG team in the league (at .503 percent!) and the Cavs are in the bottom 5 in allowing points in the paint.
I also like the Detroit Red Wings +110 vs Chicago. The super duper Pavel Datsyuk is back in the lineup tonight.
Update: Lou took the Devils at +140.
Friday
Losers all around as the Coyotes lost 5-3 in Calgary and Philadelphia lost by 53. The good news is they were only 39 points away from covering. Southern Miss was a winner for anyone who played it. One NBA option tonight and that’s Miami I think away to Atlanta. Hockey options are the Islanders and New Jersey. I’ll wait on line moves and the like and update if there’s a play around 7. I’ll guess that New York will probably end up being a pass and New Jersey a play.
Two college football unders I wanted to post since I’ve put them down already:
Nebraska/Wisconsin UNDER 57
Georgia Southern/Navy UNDER 63
Thirsty Thursday
Detroit was a winner yesterday as our microscopic plays on the NBA continue. I’m even dipping my feet into the college football world these days despite not being able to name any players from either teams of the games I pick. Ignorance at its finest. I have a lean but not a play tonight on Southern Miss +7 traveling to someplace called UTSA. No idea where that is.
I won’t be around to update NBA, but I’ll be taking Philadelphia +14 if I can find it (currently at 13.5). Lastly a confirmed hockey play Phoenix +125 @ Calgary
Tuesday
Apologies for the late post. At least one play here tonight and it starts very soon:
San Jose @ Florida +140
There should be one more hockey game and possibly an NBA game later
NBA: I am in agreement with Pat on this one and that’s a bit scary. Sacramento +8 @ Dallas
NHL: Dallas -115 @ Arizona
Professional Hockey and Basketball
Wagers for the evening. Basketball WTFK, hockey I will try to justify my decisions based on the twenty something minutes I read the Hockey News site today…
Magic +11 -110 @ 19
Kings +7.5 -105 @ 19
All plays @ 15
Winnipeg +131
Do I remember the name of the Jets goalie off the top of my head? No I dont, but I wrote down that he is playing very well recently. Montreal has not led a single game this year after the first period.
Sharks/Panthers Under 5 +118
Sharks are in the middle of a long road trip. Combined with the Panthers having Luongo and the fact that they seem scoring challenged…
Lightning/Blackhawks Over 5.5 +102
Both teams seem to be firing offensively recently.
Stars/Coyotes Under 5.5 -119
My lone note here was Arizona – hot goalie. Jpeg or recent form?
Ottawa +140
Most of the public money is on the Canucks for this one, and I bet a solid amount of people who did that had the thought that this was a pretty even match-up but Vancouver is at home so f@#% it. Let’s go the other way.
Monday
An okay Sunday for us, winning on the Jets but losing on the Raiders, with the moneyline play pushing the season into positive territory. Toronto was a late decision and was a winner as well, and we even passed on the Bears Sunday night in another good decision. NFL is now 8-9 +0.85 and NHL is a similarly mediocre 10-11 +1.8.
Not much happening tonight with only two hockey games and Panthers-Eagles in NFL. Hopefully a few more plays tomorrow.
